Hayle Judokwai is a community-based group which operates via a constitution and is affiliated to the British Judo Council.

It is based at:
The Downs Residential Care Home
Hayle
TR27 4HW

We have an open door policy at the club - all our welcome regardless of ability, disability, gender or ethnic origin.

The first few lessons are free – we can lend you a jacket from a Judo-gi (suit) for the first few sessions – all you need is strong loose-fitting clothing, with no metal parts – tracksuit bottoms are ideal. After this the suits can be bought from the club. We stock a small range of kits, but can order all sizes at very competitive rates. There are usually also some second hand suits available to buy.

The club provides the opportunity for young people to make new friends and keep active in a fun and safe environment and it plays an active part in the Community. Best of all, family and friends are welcome to take part in all of the club activities and events!

Hayle Judokwai is committed to helping children reach their full potential, whether they are competitive or recreational players – and ultimately to become happy and confident young people. It strives to encourage and nurture its students to be the best that they can be.
